...Huh, thought I commented here, but I guess not.

Love the history of your character - the men always leaving the tribe once a new generation comes along - is brilliant. I love how rough and ready your Nord is; it'll be interesting to see how he learns to behave in civilization (even if it is Skyrim). You also get points for having Svard destroy that Bosmer.

I'll be following your journal, but may disappear once the game is out, for fear of spoilers.Pudi0072000https://www.blogger.com/profile/06168956530401750934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172468185958114290.post-29252780728129101042011-11-05T11:16:09.775-06:002011-11-05T11:16:09.775-06:00lol. Yeah, I don't think potions in-battle are all that realistic either unless maybe you run away and hide behind a rock for a quick sip, i dunno.

Kind of how Morrowind was. I really liked how NPCs gave detailed directions in that game, since there was no compass they had to. "Go northwest past the bridge, cross the river and follow it north a ways until you find the (name) kwama mine. Turn here and follow the road up..." Lots of directions like this. Was easy to get lost if you didn't pay attention. I don't expect that so much in Skyrim, but I'm happy about no compass.MetroidHatchlinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09251845962541348811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172468185958114290.post-86424685385384415572011-11-05T07:02:31.930-06:002011-11-05T07:02:31.930-06:00I see you're going to try to play with no HUD,...I see you're going to try to play with no HUD, I was planning on trying the same. I hope however there will be a way to check your own health in the inventory, so you can tell how much you'll need to heal after battle (I'm thinking of not using health potions during battle, since it's pretty unrealistic to be drinking from a flask while someone is tapping your skull with a warhammer, healing spells, if aplicable for the character should be ok)

But the playing without the compass IS very interesting to me, and should ad bunches of gameplay, such as having to depend on roadsigns, memorizing your surroundings, use position of the sun to get your bearing, and use directions as given by NPC's. I can already seeing myself get lost badly after trying to find 'that cave to the northwest' :DShilkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06999433092156740486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172468185958114290.post-71986083119548529062011-11-02T22:57:55.394-06:002011-11-02T22:57:55.394-06:00I haven't decided yet. I'll probably be more on the lenient side though since it'll be my first time through, and I'm doing a blog on him which I WOULD like to finish eventually. Say you accidentally set off a nasty spike or arrow trap in a dungeon just after a rigorous fight with a bunch of Drauger, and it kills you off. Would this be the permanent end of Svard?Mastian Viramonthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11882455528737763006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172468185958114290.post-46484745260991304632011-11-02T19:47:57.513-06:002011-11-02T19:47:57.513-06:00Thanks. It will be cool seeing your uncivilized barbarian cope with normal life! He would make a great werewolf if there are any in.LDLAX-Man11https://www.blogger.com/profile/13664831581876159312noreply@blogger.com
